I am probably going to be getting 2 semi auto trap guns for my 2 kids. What is the most reliable semi auto gun on the market. Hopefully they will be shooting doubles as well. Thanks for all replies.
My Beretta 391 has been pretty forgiving. The lack of cleaning/failure to fire ratio is very good for a semi-auto, and after-market products are many. Hope this helps, just My 2 cents
Remington 1100 Competition Synthetic. Lots of adjustability, adjustable comb, superb recoil reduction and affordable at right around $1100. In my opinion it is far superior to the Beretta.
You can pick up some really nice Remington 1100's at good prices as a starter gun , Big Leo used one for years until he got really good ... (kidding) ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
I have a Beretta 302 that I have shot over 200,000 rounds through with little repair problems. I would also look at the Fabarms auto, feels really nice to me. The 1100 is good choice also but my heart is with Berettas'.

My oldest son shot a 1100 Classic Trap for his entire SCTP and AIM career. Never had to replace anything except a couple of O rings. My younger son shoots the Competition Synthetic. 3 years so far and again, nothing but O rings. Keep them clean and no problems. Would buy another but don't need to. I also have an 1100 I got for 8th grade graduation in 1974 that has had several hundred thousand rounds through it and is just like a Timex, just keeps ON going. I took it to the range the other day to help out a Scout group. They ran 400 through it with no problems.
