Trap Shooting POW WOW at Thorn Bottom

The Boys from the Cardinal Center came up for a day of pheasant hunting and after the hunt we had some eats and drinks and sat around talking about the upcoming SCTP shoot and all the construction going on at the Cardinal Center.

 

Now by golly that's what I remember about shooting sports the way it used to be !!!

You didn't tell me you were having Pizza & Hawaiian Punch or I would have drove out!

 

Brad, don't let HB fool you...He would need these before the hunt also...

I found his secret out shooting with him and Doc Parsons at the CC in 2010.

I long for those old, fun days.....

Also thinking now the paths / shooting lanes at Thorn Bottom come in sizes. XL and 4X.

On Friday's when the Cardinal Center is hosting a shoot, Mr. Fishburn's restaurant The Farmstead has an all you can eat fish fry. Well as you might imagine Mr. Berlet and myself really enjoy the meal. In fact we enjoy it so much that Brad actually suggested to Mr. Fishburn that he should weigh Dave and I on the way in and on the way out and charge us by the pound! Dave and I found Brad's suggestion a bit hurtful, but another plate fish made us feel all better!!!!

 

WPT...we are all in shape! Pear is a shape you know!

Ah, fezunt huntin with friends!! One of my most enjoyable hunts is chasing the wiley ringneck rooster! Fun times with good friends, nothing like it!!

I am not really what you would call a man of caution, but I can tell you there is no way I would stick my paw in to try and grab the last piece of pizza sitting in with those guys .. Probably end up pulling out a bloody stub or no stub at all ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

You can see I was keeping my hands safely below the table top. This was not my first meal with Dave, also never shoot against Dave for food, that's a fools bet. Brad
