Maybe there should be a Skeetshooters.com, cause there doesn't seem to be any interest in skeet around here.
Im a trap shooter with a skeet problem. winter skeet league, summer benifit and practice shooting only.
I use to shoot world class level. hope to share my past experiences. trap shooters hate me. I wander over to join them, shoot a 16yd straight, and go back to the skeet range. all they do is shake their heads.
Skeet where I live is not much , a few guys that shoot on Saturday, state skeet shoot is 40 shooters max.
I was never 'World Class', but have 170,000 plus registered Skeet targets including American & International targets. I'm also going to start shooting registered Trap this year because Skeet is slowly dying here - 9, 4-gun shooters at the State Shoot this year. I also shoot Sporting Clays just for fun.
I shot on the Navy skeet team with BobSki in the mid 1990s just getting back into skeet after a long layoff. Work, medical issues, kids, and distance to ranges stopped me from shooting skeet. I find that my mind says do this to break the target and my body says not a chance so I am having to relearn new hold points and methods.
