    Hey BIG PAPA

Even in crappy windy bitter weather Cloverdale can get 16 full squads for a normal weekend meat shoot!

Is all this winter shooting going to hurt the OSTA and Indiana attendance this summer? Trapshooting is rocking in OH.

I really hate to agree with Brad on most any subject, but he is correct about the food. Large selection, well prepared, quick service and very reasonable prices. I am confident that with food such as Cloverdale serves our shoots at the Cardinal could pick up some entries!!! Just my opinion.

Dave the all time best food at any trap shoot I attended in my fifty years of shooting was MTA when they had that guy that owned the truck stop run the kitchen. I can remember that every nite at every ATA shoot they had back then the club house would be full of people eating supper. Steak meals, great soup, even a food bar, great times. The CC food sucks since Karen died at least. Not my problem thankfully.

I wonder what other shooters remember about the food? I will say that Iowa was very good too, they had church woman run the food and their pies were great. I'm making myself hung-- rey so I'm off to the kitchen.

Another great food site was the cafateria at Vandalia when the local ladies prepared and served the food. Not nearly as good after the ATA in their great wisdom out sourced it to out side entities. Just another great Vandalia memory. A few other Vandalia great dining spots were Original Rib House, Christies, Little York Pizza, Shucking Shack, and in earlier years Brusman's Cafateria right on the Crossroads of America corner (US25 the Dixie highway and US40 the National Road. Over the years there were many others just too many to mention. Probably many of you viewers who never experienced Vandalia wonder why some of us talk about all the great memories from that place and those times. It is just a shame that many of our current shooters couldn't have had the Vandalia experience. I am quite sure that the Vandalia years were truly the Golden Years of our American Trapshooting Sport. I could go on much longer, but maybe some other time.
