Looking to get into sporting clays. Looking foe either a Perazzi MX 8 with 30" barrels or a Krieghoff Parkours, Don't care about the wood because I'll be getting a TSK stock and having a release pull trigger setup Now the question I'm 82 which gun will swing better & be less of a pain to maintain & which gun is lighter.
A great choice would be a Beretta 391 to start with. If you stay with Sporting Clays, you could buy a more expensive toy. I have K and P guns for Trap/Skeet, but prefer the 391 for Clays or 5-stand and shoot 3 dram shells with no recoil!
Perazzis can be lighter. You have to check the weight of the barrels. It's stamped on the bottom of the barrels in Kg. In my experience, Perazzis are also easier to maintain. JMHO, Ed
K80 Parcour will be the lightest, a little over 8#mine is 8#4oz. But I shoot my 391 a lot. Brad Davis a member on here has a very nice Beretta 390 sporting for sale
I have a DeVault 391 with a trap rib, if I get it to the lowest position, it shoots 70/30 & shooting a release for the second shot sometimes gives me trouble. been looking for a Devault sporting rib for a 391 conversion
Phil, Get a Krieghoff K 20 20 ga with 32 in barrels and shoot 20 ga at sporting events. I love it! Bernie
krieghoff has factory release triggers. Perazzi doesn't. Warning not all Krieghoff gunsmiths are that great. I would have KI do them.
