Customer Advice from The Forum

    I shipped a firearm component to a reputable gunsmith (well known in clay shooting circles) back in February. Despite having contacted and directly spoken with the gunsmith 3 times since (most recently in August), I still haven't received the repaired item back. Although he assured me twice over a period of 3 months that it was nearly complete.
    I have a good understanding of the repair and the work and time required to get it finished.
    Seems like I may never get it back at all, repair not withstanding. At this point I just want my component back, repaired or not.
    Interested in broad input on what to do next.

    Have you recontacted the smith again?
    Maybe just a friendly email or call inquiring again.
    Hey, just seeing how things are coming along?
    It's been a little bit and just checking in.
    Something along those lines.
