Can I get some feedback on everybody’s opinion on their favorite thin but warm gloves while shooting trap l live in the Midwest as I get older my hands are starting to hurt a little more Want to know what everybody shoots with and how warm they are Thank you in advance.
Thin and warm don’t generally go together. I’ve been lucky to get away with either nothing or keeping a hand warmer in my pocket where I keep my hand between targets. I’ve shot some coooold winter leagues and Calcutta’s, too.
I just like a left glove and nothing on my trigger hand. I find golf gloves on Ebay. They are thin and comfortable. I only go out anymore in the 50s if it's sunny and calm. Don't do real cold anymore.
Michael Gooch is selling gloves he designed. I bought a pair, $38 he probably has them on his website.
As I've gotten older my hands normally are very dry and slick and I have found that Racquetball gloves work very well for me. Very thin and snug and you still have a good feel of the trigger. Dave Berlet
I just purchased some "winter" golf gloves. They come with both left and right hand gloves. $20+/- for a pair. They have an elastic cuff which fits tightly around my wrist. I plan to use them combined with the chemical hand warmer packs for cold weather. Cold for me is 40 degrees down to about 20. After that I'm playing pinochle in the club house.
