Waiting for a copy of Walz's DD-214 to surface, it should tell the truth about his service.

If he only served in the National Guard and was never called up to Active Duty, he will not have a DD-214. I spent a total of 21 1/2 years in the Army Reserve and retired. My first 3 years were on Active Duty so I have a DD-214 for those 3 years. I was also deployed for 1 year to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom so I have a second DD-214 for that year. The Guard/Reserves do not have an equivalent to the DD-214. It's really kind of strange that they don't. Other than my 20 year letter for eligibility for retirement pay and my statements of retirement points earned, I don't have any real tangible proof of my other 17 1/2 years done as Reserve time. I mean I have awards and certificates that are dated from different points in time during that service but no one official statement detailing time served in the Reserves.

That is interesting about the DD214. When the controversy started about Walz's record, I just assumed we could prove it with that document.
I remember during basic training that we had reserved and gaurd going thru with regular Army recruits. Figured that would be enough to aquire the record.
Still hard to believe the Gov't doesn't provide some kind of official document of service for this.
The real scary thing is that Tim Walz ever lead troops!!

I'm still waiting for Obama's birth certificate and college records. Don't hold your breath waiting for anything from the Dems.

The hospital where he was supposed to be born in didn't exist @ the time of his birth !!!!! And no one remembers him @ Columbia

  7. So was he a full time reservist or a weekend warrior? Not Putting down reservists but its not the same a 20+ years in the military active duty

We should wait for the DD-214 to surface and evaluate the facts before drawing conclusions.

    LTKSQ,
There are 2 post on this thread by qualified individuals who say that the DD214 does not exits for people who did not serve in an active duty capacity. (Tim Walz).
Do you have information that Tim Walz can even produce a DD214??

Walz recieved an NGB-22.....Guard equivalent to a DD 214. He was frocked to CSM. Wore the rank, held the responsibility, but was not paid for it. He failed to complete the Sergeant Majors academy, therefor , he was retired out at his rank of E-8. Plus, you need to hold the rank for 2 years minimum, which he failed to do as well.

Not just that, Who taught him in school, classmates? anyone knew him back in school? nothing tangible.

as for Walz. who was his CO? or superiors? they can't all be dead. all shred of proof that he is who he is can't be up in smoke.

Honest question here... Is there any value to adding Waltz to the ticket?

MN had ALWAYS voted blue. You don't pick up anything from MN, where they maybe could have from a swing state. His handling of Covid, BLM riots, voting record, spending, increased crime rates, etc will all be so easy to attack.

Is he simply a martyr that they are throwing on the ticket so that they can preserve some "better" candidate in the future? One they actually hope to run successfully in the future?

Beyond pushing their agenda even further to the left, is there any upside to campaign? I'm struggling to see any reasoning on why he was selected. Did he endorse her during her early (failed) presidential run? Outside of the riots, he really doesn't have any National brand/positioning.

What am I missing? Is this a simple way to lose to Trump and blame a bad ticket?
