BIG PAPA gets 50 year attendance patch!

    Just a note that BIG PAPA received his 50 year attendence patch at the Grand. Dave Berlet on the left was mentioned in another thread. BIG PAPA, on the right, deserves his own thread.

    Congratulations to Dick. Not only for his attendance award, but also for overcoming some serious health problems to be able to attend the Grand this year. We old guys just have to keep fighting.

    If you do not know the young in the middle is Ryan Denes. He one of my best trapshooting friends and a great gunsmith. He is working for Silver Seitz building and servicing their guns.

    Dave told me today that Dick wrecked his rig on the way back from sparta but he thinks he is mostly OK.

    Congratulations Dick that’s a hell of an achievement. You might not remember but you sold me a Spolar loader probably 15 years ago or more. I picked it up at your house if I remember correctly. I did see that young man working at Seitz when I stopped in to see Ritchie.

    Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I remember selling the spolar. I did have a wreck on the way home. I did not get hurt. I was released from the hospital after a few test and a few hours of observation. Went back to Indiana today and picked up my personal items and guns.

    I heard you had a bit of trouble with a choke tube at the Indiana State Shoot. The Man upstairs might be telling you it’s time to focus on the squirrels for a spell and let those trap guns take a break!

    I had the pleasure of shooting with Big Papa on a couple events. Hotter than heck but we had fun and even hit a few targets! Good times.... :)
