What happens if someone sends you a PM and buys them without posting that "I'll take them" stuff? Better yet, what do you tell the guy that posts that AFTER you make a deal with someone else via the PM option?

 

They must post, “They will take them,” per forum rules. If someone else comes along after they are sold then it’s simply too late.
