I've got a Beretta 686 and I'm in the market for turkey chokes. I stopped at my local bass pro/gander mountain and the only chokes I can find are the TruGlo ported and the Undertaker (non-hd). Any idea if either of these perform well in the 686?

I have the TruLock Precision Hunter Extended Turkey choke on my Beretta 686 Onyx 12ga and it works really great...

I use Briley mostly and I've heard TruGlo ported chokes are very good.

There are several options for turkey chokes that should work well with your Beretta 686. Some popular brands include TruLock, Indian Creek, Kicks, and Carlson's. The best way to determine which choke works best for your shotgun is to try different brands and constrictions and pattern them to see which one performs the best.

Note that you should never use steel shot larger than #4, slugs, sabots, rifled slugs, or 00/000 buckshot through a turkey choke. Most choke manufacturers also recommend avoiding shot sizes larger than #4 for any type of steel shot.

To ensure you get the right choke for your shotgun, it's a good idea to check the markings on your barrel, your shotgun's serial number, and Beretta's choke tube identification chart.
