Softer Shotgun Wad Plastic? Downrange or Claybuster?

    Anyone have an opinion on the difference pattern wise between the wads that are "softer" verse the "harder" type wads. I have heard the softer wads leave more plastic but I am more interested in pattern differences.

    The person who would probably know the answer to your question would be N!H!, he pretty much knows everything and could make you a graph and chart to support his findings to eliminate any and all doubt ... If he does not know there is a guy (Matt) who knows everything that N!H! don't know but he don't make the charts and graphs to support what he says ... I shoot new shells so I cannot be of any help at all, I do know the shells I shoot have wads in them though, I have seen them with my own eyes ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

    My wad preference is the original white Windjammer on the right, but Clay Buster makes a identical knock-off in blue that performs equally as good.

    Neither leaves any plastic residue and both pattern well in my Browning O/U 's with 1 1/8 ounce loads
