Went to a local gun show sunday, a vendor selling powder had an 8lb jug of green dot marked 189.00!!AAnd an 8lb of CFE223 for 224.00!! Needless to say I just kinda wandered out the door with my eyes glassed over. chris in Fl.
Gun shows aren't worth going to anymore, prices higher than retail, vendors aren't willing to negotiate even on crap guns they have.
Just got four 8lb Green Dot form Fur, Fin, and Feather. $576.68 total shipped to California. It was $119.50 each.
You got lucky, or else the guy made a mistake in his math. Best deal I have gotten from gun show was some Titewad 8 pounders, for $110 each. He had 36 jugs, I bought 14. Now I wish I had bought them all. That was over a year ago. I think prices are higher now. I tried to buy a pos 410 single shot from a vendor, and he wouldn't budge from $175 bucks, other dealers were just as bad. I should go to a gun show with you, sounds like you know how to deal, I sure don't know how.
I also went to a gun shop in My. Dora Fl. last week, he had a 8lb. Red Dot for 209.95. I didn't buy that one either. chris.
