Who has the news? Did they give Gipson a new contract? Did the Ohio Delegate suggest they remove a person from the ATA Hall of Fame? Are they happy Sparta might be sold? Rule changes? Was there a single person brave enough to ask for a roll call vote?
Check the minutes from the March meeting. Gipson was given a 5-year extension: “President Wehking began the Meeting by informing Executive Director Gipson that the Executive Committee has approved a new five-year contract which was negotiated yesterday in Executive Session” (page 19).
Interesting Michigan Berry The Delegate From Ohio (Blair) was quoted by Family Guy at the OSTA Meeting as saying Gipson’s contract was being “negotiated”. The published minutes in Ohio say the same thing. Blair supposedly told FG that meant his questions were mute. If true the Delegate from Ohio has a lying problem. Did Family Guy set him up?
It’s possible that the Delegates/BOD would still need to give final sign off but even so it seems like that would be more of a rubber stamp than anything. Unless someone who was there chimes in, the Grand meeting minutes won’t be available until December (I think) when the Grand minutes are approved at the next EC meeting.
At the yearly meeting, OSTA President and Delegate, said the contract is still being negotiated. It was put in the OSTA minutes.
The contract was approved in March, the contract was not signed until the EC meetings at the 2023 Grand.
