Just purchased a Remington 3200 competition and would like to have a combo set, been doing some research and from what I could find Stan baker,Simmons or northview was the only guys who made them. If anyone can help would be much appreciated thank you.
Watch out for Simmons. I had a Simmons and the barrel separated from the mono block. Sent it back to be repair and it cost me $500 Lasted for about 150 rounds and it separated again. This time they repaired for free and with hard solder. They have zero quality control. I also had a Baker barrel and I should not have gotten rid of that one. It was very good. Also it most likely it will need to be fitted to the receiver.
I just bought a Northview for my uncles 3200 before I bought mine dang I should have kept it lol. We went shooting Sunday and it is very nice to shoot with he actually hit a 25 with it.
I've been searching everywhere can't find anything. But I did read that the bakers where good quality.
A lot of unsingle 3200 were made by cutting the Off the top single and re ribbing, the ones I had seen were 32” I think it was John Allem who did the work! Hope this helps. Billy
Saw one at John Allems shop about 40 years ago that I believe was made there. Johnny Allem jr is an extremely talented gunsmith. Can't hurt to ask!
