Gene, is the latch new or used? Blued? Condition of finish? Krieghoff engraved or aftermarket?

Krieghoff engraved -- It has a light blue finish but you could have it nitrided . Finish is as depicted-- and magnified. You will never see the detail in person you see in photos=== it was a takeoff so just very lightly used

 

It appears the back of the latch is damaged, can you take a better picture of it?

 

No damage. Look at standing up pic. Maybe a little more bluing in a slightly visible when depressed area and if you either blued or nickled this everything would be the same color
