I join because I thought this site was about Trap Shooting.

First thing I read is some guy named Brad taking pot shots at my Canadian friends and nothing about trapshooting at all.

Mods should be ashamed to allow this crap on the TRAPSHOOTING forum.

As Bill Clinton proved there IS no bad publicity, just as long as they spell your name right. Probably the only thing true in Old chrusher's handle is OLD.

I hope you can help me or at least make the rest of your members here aware of what I believe to be a scammer on the site.
My name is Dave Lloyd, a long-time trapshooter here in Montana. I am an active member of this site and for a long time , xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
More than a month ago, I advertised for an A400 release trigger on both sites for my Multitarget and a member (Tsphens) replied saying "She had a Phillip's A400 trigger she would sell for $350." You maybe can follow our conversations as we pm'ed. Accordingly, I sent a check to the address this person supplied:
Kathy Olinger
12122 St. Aubin St.
Hamtramck, Mich. 48212
On the 2nd of July, she pm'ed that she had received it.
I understood it would have to clear the bank and on the 14th of July she said it had and she would be sending the trigger the next day.
I waited a decent interval and on the 29th I messaged her, saying still no trigger
To date, despite other PM's, she has neither replied nor have I received the trigger.
I can only believe I have (for the first time ever on either website) been scammed.
It makes sick to think a thief could take advantage of our trust as fellow trapshooters. But our fellowship needs to be aware of this person's criminal intent.

After about 5 minutes searching the net I found a FB page for a person with that name in Michigan. It doesn’t give the street address but the town/city name matches.

Google maps will show you, using the “street view” option, a picture of the house at the address you provided. Just a heads up bud, in the future get a phone number and actually talk to the person. You can get a feel if they are legit.

BTW, if you find the Face Book page for Kathy Olinger in that town in Michigan, check out her “friends” list.

 

Thank you for checking that out for me and deleting that info. Yes, I guess I should have called. I was lulled by having had so many good experiences with selling and buying on the forums in the past. Learned my lesson!
I don't do Facebook so guess I will just chalk it up to being one of life's lessons.

After about 10 minutes you can't edit. You can post the new reduced price by adding a post to the original thread.

Is there an issue with the Search function? I haven't been able to do a search today where the search term must be in the title. A random term like Mec or Krieghoff that is set to be only title and only for the last 4 months will return 50 pages of hits.

Not Joe, but you don’t have to wait on this site. You can post a For Sale or Want To Buy anytime you wish.

Go to the For Sale page and click on the Post New Thread box. Just make sure you have at least one picture and a price, You can read the rules in the “stickies” at the top of that page. Do NOT post any personal info such as phone numbers or email addresses. People can PM ( personal message) you with questions or to discuss the price and get your info.
