Sept. Trap & Field?

I'm still waiting for my Sept. Trap & Field , and it's almost October. I tried calling their office and all I get is a recording to leave a message. Wondering, have other's received their Sept. issues?

Just talked to ATA office and they don't know when it will be mailed.

I have lots of pulp wood on my property, thinking maybe I should have it cut so Trap & Field can have some paper made so I can get my Sept. issue!!...lol

 

I fail to understand why I continue to pay for this rag for so many years. My wife thinks I'm nuts!

 

Is it available online?

 

I stopped paying for it three years ago. All it is, is scores, scores, and more scores. Very little on tips/tricks, gun reviews etc. Its nothing more than a rag to stroke egos.

 

Can you get just the average book?

 

I'm quite sure you can.

 

I had high hopes for the magazine Trapshooting USA , but it's pretty much just a Trap & Field with glossy pictures.Probably only a few on here will remember a magazine from the 70's that was called The American Trapshooter and put out by Bob Thruston. That was a good magazine, not so much results but really good articles and interviews. Elgin Gates Frank Little ,Kay Ohye, and Daro Handy would at times have monthly columns. There was always a monthly column for the skeet shooter, trapshooter , reloader, and gun dog owner. You didn't have to wait two month's to get the proper monthly issue either! I wish someone would start a magazine with it as it's template.

 

I still haven't gotten the September issue of Trap & Field and its midway through October....

 

Nobody has, reported paper shortage at the publisher.

 

According to Trap & Fields Facebook posting they site that as being one of the reason's for the delayed mailing.

 

The ATA is like a little federal government. every thing they get into they fxxk up. Roger C.

 

Get out your old trap and fields and read those. They are more interesting anyhow.

 

Brad….there is that one not so old Trap and Field issue I found humorous. It was the one where we caught them doubling the number of entries at the Grand. Americantrapshooter.com forced them to do a retraction. It was well hidden in the next issue.

Guys I apologize for the delay. I overlooked my subscription renewal notice from Terry and procrastinated, thus causing the delay in Publication. I called on Thursday and renewed, so everything should be back on track & you'll be getting your Sept. T&F shortly. Maybe even before the Oct. issue arrives. Look for my picture on the cover. No need to thank me... you're welcome.

Still no September issue as of today

 

Yesterday (Thurs, 10/20) in South-Central Florida.

 

I got mine and it's so exciting I can hardly put it down.

 

Ain't it just awesome?....lol

 

I was an ATA member for the year 2021. I did not receive one issue of their magazine. Not ONE.
(That was one of the reasons I did not renew my membership)
