I'm currently shoot a DeVault 391 conversion. Have the rib raised as high as it can toe and the com is all the way down--The current rib is 7/8" in the back & 3/8" in the front with 4 notches for adjustment-would like a rib that would be 3/4" in back & 1/2" in the front--anyone know a good machinist who could scan my rib and build me a new one
Dennis always thought the Mach had to shoot high due to fast trigger. He believed in high shooters for trap
I also have an Infinity, the late Dean Debow, said" let me see your gun" and he said" you have to set the Infinity @ 140% high" I did that & the gun vaporized targets like no other gun-- I'm shooting the 391 because I'm still on the mend from back surgery & its 1.3 lbs lighter than my Infinity--which is trap gun. Trying to get into more diversified clay target shooting while I'm on the mend Forgot to mention I had Briley make an offset choke for the 391 , going to try it out when I get to the range.
I will recommend Bo Elder also. He made a rib for my bt99 plus to give me the sight pitcher I wanted with a higher POI than I could get with factory rib. I have pictures if you want to see them. High quality work. Gary
Thanks Gary. After you post the pictures would you send me a PM w/your PH no. I need other information. LDS
