The FBI was and probably still is the supreme LE agency in the world. Its a shame politicians have given this agency a reputation that will be hard to overcome. I'm also sure it's very embarrassing for the local agents who have no part in this political sham, that's due only to their weak leadership. They will still get the blackeye just the same. From what I remember, the Secret Service has the most authority LE-wise in this country, and the CIA has the most authority globally.
Just think about all the various American institutions that were universally respected, which over the last several years have been politcized, if not outright weaponized against large segments of the population or specific political targets. It's a clear sign of societal breakdown. The FBI has to be at the top of the list. How can any informed, thinking person not have diminished respect for the FBI after what their leadership has done, allowed to go on, or turned an obvious blind eye to? I feel sorry for the honest agents, who are certainly still the vast majority. It saddens me and makes me fear for the future of liberty and freedom in our country, and the future of not just our kids and grandkids, but the entire world. I’m not sure I’m buying the lilly white reputation of the FBI. I believe they are doing is what they have. Always done - they apparently just care less about being exposed as the Dems have tipped the balance of power hugely in their favor with the support of the media. If I recall, J Edgar was reported to have a pretty big collection of files on many many politicians. Now Garland is calling the politicized shots being taken at Biden adversaries and the liberal agenda criticizers in general. Pick your category. Memos telling FBI agents to be on the look out for disruptive parents at school board meetings or credit card companies now assigning specific code for firearm purchases using a credit card. Those who don’t see the handwriting on the wall are either asleep or stupid.
