I stopped by Cardinal multiple times over the last few days to be with friends and watch the youngesters shoot. Cardinal is an incredible multiple-sport shooting facility and campground. Things were running very smoothly all week and it was amazing how fast they got all the shooters through when it got busy yesterady and today. Targets were excellent despite some wind, including doubles.

I think it was pretty big of Brad to put his feelings bout ATA aside and do something nice for the Cardinal Center, the kids, and the rest of the shooters. Thanks Brad. I liked the HOF pic of you with your hunting dog in the OSTA Museum. Were those ohio grouse?! I'm guessing not.

Yup...I had the pleasure of watching Brad instruct on target setting (several times). Most consistent targets in a long time. Well done.

This is the first time in a long time that I can remember the targets on the weekend being consistent with the setup during the week. Good to see. A southerly wind on Sunday was pushing the targets down a bit but from what I could tell most of the shooters were able to adapt pretty well.

Thanks we were working on the targets, I think letting everyone re set them to suit there selves was a big problem before from what I could glean from one shoot and, yes those were Ohio Grouse from about 1982 I'd guess.

I shot Friday,Saturday and Sunday and I will say that the targets were the best that I have shot at
the Cardinal Center. Only issue that my squad had the 3 days were slow speakers on bank 4. Talked
to several others that had issues on bank 4 with the speakers. The targets were set the highest I’ve
ever seen there. Good job Brad

Just curious. Are you helping set the targets for the state shoot too?

I shot a ton of Noble Sport shells over the years, and never had a problem. Found them soft & nice to shoot.

No the OSTA takes care of setting targets at the state shoot.

So we can expect the same issues. High side of acceptable range (~10') during the week and then low side of acceptable range (~8') for the weekend. At least we're forewarned.

I think the trap setters know what to do but the issue may be will the osta let them or will each squad get to reset their targets buy order of the osta?.
