Anyone use Accurate Nitro 100 for reloading shot shells?.....looking at buying a can.....looking for some info before I place my order
This is a disc-shaped fast burning double base powder. popular 12 gauge target load. contact Accurate Arms Company Box 167 McEwen TN 37101 for questions also phone#
I've been using it for a year now, 15.2 grains in 1 oz loads, STS hulls, CB1100 wads, very low recoil, I really like it
Just got an 8 lb keg delivered for $216 including hazmat for a friend of mine he loves this powder shoots 20000 plus rounds a year 7/8 loads PM me if you want the place he bought it from
Nitro is a very fine grained, dense powder. Uses smaller bushings. I use it more for 7/8 but have loaded 1 oz on occasion. It meters great and burns very clean. It's a great powder but not as available as some others.
I used up an entire 8# jug loading 3/4 ounce casual skeet 12 gauge shells. Burns very clean, no matter the temperature. I'd buy another 8# if I could find some. -Ed

That data includes these two loads for Rem STS hulls, Win 209 primer, CB8100 wad, 1 ounce shot: 17.3 grains Nitro 100 NF makes 1200 FPS and 10,107 psi 17.8 grains Nitro 100 NF makes 1225 FPS and 10,727 psi But you can now check for yourself, too.
I've been using it close to a year now. You will find Nitro 100 has way more data than you get from the other powder people. If you load it with the appropriate wad you will get a good stack height with good crimps and to a higher pressure (10K PSI or above) you will find you like it.
