PICTURES - Cardinal Center Shot Screen - YIKES! Work in progress….

There is a lift bucket at the west end of the Cardinal Center. That shot screen took a beating this winter. I am guessing there is a short life cycle on those hog rings.

I would guess 25-30% are down or need replaced.

I don’t think the shot screens are worth the money.Snapping poles and ripped curtains don’t make any sense.This is a liability that someone has to absorb either the club or the shooters.How much $$$ will Cardinal have to charge to pay for the curtain and the
White Flyer price increase..And maybe the 3S software prices increase..

 

Maybe it's time for a re-think.

 

The State of Ohio footed much of the bill for the shot screen. Just my 2cents…..it beats any price going to the Anti Gun State of Illinois. But that’s just me.

It’s way more fair than shooting PA.

 

Fair, without a doubt. Liked-not always.

 

The screens generate their own income stream via reclaimed lead. The shot hits the screen and drops onto an asphalt road. The sweeping machine collects shot at an incredible pace! There are many issues with the shot screens but being a financial burden isn’t one of them.

 

If it pays for itself that is a good thing.

 

Mr. Cogan is right on. Also, they do not use the 3S software at the Cardinal. I would not be surprised if they do not raise the price of the targets at the shoot in August.

They have a SCTP regional this weekend. Assuming they have it all repaired for that event.

 

I was at the SCTP shoot this past weekend. They haven't touched the screen in banks 1-4, nor it looked like at banks 11-12. But the kids were only using banks 5-9 so they made sure to get the screen fixed where it needed to be anyway.
