it changes daily. local scrap yard was 45 cents yesterday. but gun shops don't change as fast. just curious what a buyer who doesn't follow the stock market pays.
Todays price on iscrap-app is 22 cent # on wheel weights --40 cents # on lead shot --51 cents # yard price -Our yard smells and will mix whatever antimony rate you want - still waiting on that price.
It would be a lot cheaper if Obama's EPA did not shut down the last lead smelting plant in the US.....now we have to rely on China and India
I have a fellow local who is offering me 1.00 a pound for good lead ingots, not wheel weights. should I jump on it?
If they are fluxed and cleaned its a very fair price. depending on the hardness level its either a good price or great price.
Scrap prices are down Compared to my last post ---current iscrap-app price --2-17-2020 - that's what my local yard uses for scrap price, are down 10% from my last post on wheel weights and scrap shot - 90 days ago --$0.50 wheel weights -- $0.20 scrap shot
We held off on selling our take of the lead mining last fall. We have about 60,000 lbs we could sell. We sell quite a bit to the reloading shooters for $1/lb. It would be nice to sell it in one shot. Any takers?
I know wheel weights are mixed now. most are zinc. a lot of magnum shooters like zinc. got any clue on a 5 gal bucket of mixed zinc/lead wheel weights go for per lb?
