[First place winner at our monthly shoot -- and he had it coming!

 

ATA is a important part of trap shooting, But in my opinion the small local clubs are the heart and soul of our sport. The two and three trap house clubs, run by volunteers, with community support - Clubs helping and supporting each other. All about having fun, and if you can get a good hearted jab in , it's all in fun. That's the story behind the picture. One of my local clubs sponsors a monthly chicken shoot -- And no we do not shoot chicken. The name comes from years ago when frozen chicken was given as prices. Now we have a freezer full of cheese and meat prices for the winners . After last months shoot the neighboring clubs top gun was heard say he will have to buy a bigger freezer if he keeps shooting at our club . So darn we didn't want him to do that. So I proudly presented him with his first place price. As the old saying goes, those who crows last crows the loudest, or at least until we show up at their shoot. -----------------------------------------------------------------No chicken was harmed in our joke - Mikes wife does have 20 plus chickens that Mike cusses at.
