Did the vendors get a fair shake? See new deal by-passing "Bid-Buy Process" !!!!

The vendor "Bid-Buy Process" used by Illinois was supposedly the new "only fair way" to award buildings / vendors spots at the WSRC.

Everyone would have to commit to the same terms. The ATA Executive Director, whom is in business at the WSRC also, would not be involved.

It is an auction right? High bid gets the spot. NO SHENANIGANS!

The previous year the vendors paid but there wasn't a shoot. Too bad said Illinois.

And now we find that if you didn't bid and certain people in the ATA like you, you get a second chance. Maybe even better terms.

The ATA is now leasing the buildings to vendors. In comes the Executive Director. Who saw that coming?

Below is the new deal.....for those smart enough to wait.

Amazing how the State screws the ATA, and the members get the Bull Shit up the Wazoo.

I can not imagine who in their right mind will take a lease, but then again...We all know how the ATA works. Free rooms for attending EC and Delegates who sit on their asses during meetings and afraid to represent the members.

Damn glad I am out of that organization, but I still do have interest in this upcoming HISTORY.

 

Does it really surprise anyone. Nice finished bldg to set up in 1/3 the price. Glad I paid what we have been paying for 15 years.

If the Vendors accepted the deal then they must of felt it was a fair deal even with the lower attendance records that have been established over the past 15 + years ... This should be interesting once its over and all is said and done ....
