After no end of postponements the Saskatchewan trap season finally kicked off with two shoots on the same weekend at two clubs about 6 hours distance apart. My wife and I attended the closer of the two, Allen Gun Club in Allen, SK. The club is a small privately owned club located on the owners farm and has two trap fields with Pat traps and two skeet fields. He hosts two registered trap shoots and two registered skeet shoots per season. The turnout was a bit smaller than expected with about 15-20 shooters over the course of the weekend but those of us that did participate had great weather with light winds and sunny skies. It felt good to get a few registered targets in again. That is yours truly closest to the camera on the 25yd line and the last photo is my other half(better half she'd say) walking off the field after completing the handicap event that day.
