just curious if you've ever shot on a small 16yd only field with ammo stands on every station, w/o handicap walkways. I shot one at bend in river ,tn. how about you?
Up on top of a mountain on the east side of Canandaigua Lake, NY, Middlesex CC. On the edge of a cliff, slight hill in back of the 16 yard line too. Here is a painting of my wife at the Middlesex Conservation Club, the stands were what I welded up, as the normal shooter is a farm boy with his Dad coming out for a Sunday morning breakfast and shooting during the summer months, without any real gear for their shells. She is teaching kids how to shoot in this painting by a friend.
the purpose of this thread was to identify where 16yd ranges were located, not to be a picture archive of 16yd ranges. thus why I posted it in the shooting forum, and not in a picture forum. obviously someone thinks otherwise.
history seeker...no! im not saying we cant have pics. someone in authority misread my intent and moved the topic. pictures are ok but not nessessary for the discussion. the 'someone' was the mod whoever moved my post! personally I don't care where it is, as long as people join in.
At a local rifle club in Northern California, they have one trap house that is 16 yards only. Nice set up but they do not have the room for anything more.
No They held shoots there back in the 90s to raise money to help rebuild the the trap and skeet field. I heard they only use it for important people now. Dont know if that is true or not
We did have a good time. You shot one round of trap and one round of skeet. Then there was time so we shot pertection. Then they had an army tent set up and we ate lunch. Angus burgers was the meat. there are still angus on the farm. He raised show Angus. I dont remember what it cost and it was limited numbers.
I havent been out there in over a year. But im sure its still there. dont know if they run any events there. friends of Gettysburg did it back then. Its part of the fedral park.
