On the weekends we aren't attending a shoot we love to head out in pursuit of Lake Trout. My preferred method is downrigging. There is something about the humming sound of the downrigger cables slicing through the water and seeing a rod pop when the lure is pulled free of the release that really gets me fired up! And not to mention seeing fish come up on the graph making a beeline to the lures tracking across the screen then seeing that rod pop when the lines on the graph meet!
It is obvious you eat very well if you like fish anything like I do ... Making me Jealous ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
We love fish though my wife doesn't like trout or salmon so I keep only a few trout each season. Most are released.
Yeah yeah, What i am really interested in is what beer you are drinking. I can see the big blue cooler.
No beer, I don't drink... My rear livewell is plugged for dry storage use to store tackle and other essentials and my front one gets used to put ice and bottled water in for cold drinks. The cooler is for the fish!
Nice pictures! Only lake trout I have caught was on Lake Chelan fishing for kokanee...Always wanted one when fishing Lake Erie but never got one. There are some good ones to be had in Erie
Don't think I'd shoot much if catching such beautiful fish! Wow! You are really good, and I'll bet it's a ball. Thanks for the cool pictures!
At current prices of ammo, registered targets, motels, meals, gas etc. my wife and I won't be shooting much registered any more. Only plan to attend two local shoots and the Canadian Championships in Calgary this year and the only one we are booking off work for is Canadians so if the others conflict with our work schedule they will fall by the wayside. We decided to do more fishing from here on in and make use of the boat.
The longer you stay away from registered targets, the easier it is to stay away from registered targets.
