    I believe 33 is the mold it came out of.

    The #33 identifies its position in the plastic mold. Its possible that 40 to 50 of this particular wad is produced in this run. By looking at the number (33) the operator is able to see what cavity may be having a problem. It could be #1 or any number within this mold. He can then have the mold maker check that position in the mold and solve the issue. Saves all the trouble of looking at every cavity and goes directly to number 33 and quickly solves the issue. Get that mold back into the molding machine for a run of thousands.......DanB
