Who wants a gun that has been banned ? The prices will be ground low.

Banning all semi autos and AR's won't be much of a hassle for biden and dems but the problem is enforcing the law. Door to door check will only end in violence on both sides.

Why would the most popular rifle in America go up in value? In order for something to go up in value, it has to be either rare or one of a kind. If anything I've seen ARs go down in value. I know some folks will use the '86 MG ban as an example for how guns go up in value, but I don't feel that's the case here. Machine guns prior to the ban were nowhere near as popular as ARs have become. Personally I don't get the obsession with the AR on both sides of the argument, but then again I'm an AK guy so that's probably why. :D

The value found in an AR is not in its retail or resale cost, but in its functional efficiency.

I've done my best to try to forget about all of that old stuff. But, I'll promise you this, if I had one of the real ones in my hands again, it wouldn't take me long to remember how to make it go bang. I could even make it go bang a bunch of times.

You haven’t been following the market on Remington 870’s and 1100’s lately have you ? Especially the sub gauges. There were literally millions made - but they are now selling for incredible prices. Might not be the correct analogy when it comes to AR’s though.

Supply and demand. Some people are willing to pay stupid money to get a firearm when they can't find one easily.

    Stupid money?

I always figured if it was their money, they worked for it, they could spend it any way they wanted.

UNLOADER, Don't worry if the dems get their way you won't have the TMX either. They want all guns out of our hands.

First of all Biden won't ban anything relevant because he doesn't have the power to.
Secondly there's no way to tell what will happen to the price if there a wide ban on semi autos.
It may as well cause a price increase because of rarity.

Then we convert them to fully auto's and the crime is the same.

The 1100s I believe, but the 870s? I'm a little doubtful about that one. Back to the AR, there's a reason why both the AK and AR still remain cheap (at least according to my income). It's because there's so many of them here in America! And no it's not just because of the AK vs AR debates that are always pure gold. :)

I bought an 870 TB NIB in 1973 and paid 176 bucks out the door for it. Today a decent TB will run you around 450 or even better. Try finding an 870 TC under 500 ! Good luck . I've never seen an older TB or TC sell for less than it brought new . All have sold for "at least twice" and often 3 times what they went for new . Yes. the woods are FULL of cheaper Express models but a decent 870 "Wing Master" still brings a decent price and Trap models more so.
