As a refresher I have reposted the MOU / agreement to keep Sparta open even if it closes.

    Any predictions?

    I report. You decide.

By virtue of the fact that the State of Illinois obviously broke the terms and conditions of the aforementioned May 20, 2016 Amendment in the year 2020, it should be apparent that there wouldn't be any reason for them to reinstate the terms of the amendment now, a fact made particularly germane if you were to read the first several entries found in Gov. Pritzger's most recent Executive Order 2021-4, dated February 5, 2021.

I predict the "First Amendment to Amended Lease Agreement" seen above will continue to be filed in the Circular File, where it belongs.

I think it will be open, and the US Open and Grand will be at the WSRC. There is no reason as to why it can't be held there. The mitigations are "working", our region is at 4% and the county has a rolling average of 1.3%, some events at the complex have been approved. We have a one day St. Patrick's Shoot on the 20th approved, We have a bigger 3 day shoot scheduled in late April, I'm waiting on approval for that one. I heard Biden say today there will be enough vaccines available for the entire population of the US by early May. The final reduction of restrictions per IDPH and the Governor's Office says the vaccine must be widely available, which it will be by that point. There should be no reason as to why it can not happen at Sparta. Let My People Go...

The Grand caters to an international clientele. Don't forget Dengue Fever or the new Russian strain, Rotchakrotchoff. Would you want your kids to be around people from California....or God forbid, New York?

According to The Govnah, "On February 5, 2021, considering the expected continuing spread of COVID-19 and the ongoing health and economic impacts that that will be felt over the coming month by people across the State, I declared all counties in the State of Illinois as a disaster area."

Brad, What about the vendors that paid for last years spots and never used them and was not refunded their rental costs?
Should not that money have been forwarded to this years rent? Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me.
I understand most of the bids were rejected, could they have come from the stiffed rentors that did not get their last years money back? NO MORE RETORIC, ANSWER THE QUESTIONS. Roger C.

I'm sorry Roger, your question does not pertain to the topic of this thread. Let's keep on topic here. To answer your question I don't know what vendors had "rental costs", I am not in a position to make these decisions. I'm just out here in the trenches with the common folk. I'm sure things could of been done differently, but once again, I have no control over these things and no one I know does and your response has nothing to do with this topic thread. I wouldn't want it to get removed for not being on topic.
