Try Thornbottom Hunting. They use Brits. I think they are breeders as well. Owned by Brad Dysinger. Hear he used to shoot ok as well. 419-587-3555
Dysinger used to shoot? I'll be darned! Brad and Ann do use Brittany Spaniels on their hunting preserve. Ann runs the kennel. I am fortunate to have one of their Britts. If you are looking for a HUNTING dog, give Ann a call. Ann does not operate a puppy mill type of operation so she only has pups available every couple of years. A word of warning: Ann loves her dogs (probably a bit more than the guy she has been married to forever) so she is picky about who she places a pup with. If you love dogs and hunt with them frequently, you will get along with Ann just fine. Don Cogan
Brad, I think I am only allowed to "borrow" Dallas until he is a 100% finished dog. Then I'm pretty sure Nikki will want to use him full time or she will let Scott hunt him but not me. Glad to see the Government lasers haven't hit you yet! Don
The government is about as effective as the EC I'm not that concerned. Gary our dogs get thorns all the time, they heal pretty fast after you get the thorn out. It's doing OK now. Brad
Just a thought, 6 years ago, a year after having to put down my 13 yr old lab my wife and I decided it was time to bring in a new best friend. this time we decided to look at adopting a rescue. I can't tell you how happy we are that we did it. We got Izzy when she was 6 months old after a short period of adjustment she is in my wife's words," the best dog in the world". At 9 months old I took her bird hunting for the 1st time. She was and is a natural, got scent on her 1st bird and her love of hunting has just kept growing. She is a great hunting partner, she loves everyone and everyone loves her what a great new pal we have. Please consider finding a rescue in your area.
