New Trapshooter SxS question

Hi Everyone,
I’m just getting into the sport, not new to shooting just trap. I am learning on a pretty decent side by side, mayinvest in an over under down the road but its what I have at the moment.
My question is in singles do most side by side shooters use the left or right barrel. My left is modified and the right is IC if that matters at all.

If you were shooting mega loads barrel choice might matter but to me I can't feel the difference. Try both and if IC is enough choke for your speed then use it. IC will certainly break 16yd targets. The Beretta GR3 I use is M/F and even tho it has selectable trigger I use the M for about everything single shot.
The real downside to SxS for any target game is the miserable stocks usually fitted. JMO of course and I'm working on that for the GR3 cos I do like the gun and it is a target hammer.

Just don't see many using a side x side for trap or skeet,I use to shoot with a fellow that shot a model 21
He had to go to a release and went back to a model 12.
