"The National Rifle Association said Friday that it has filed for bankruptcy in U.S. court as part of a larger restructuring plan aimed at moving to Texas." "The gun-rights advocacy group said it would restructure as a Texas nonprofit to exit from what it described as “a corrupt political and regulatory environment in New York,” where it is currently registered."
Getting out New York is long over due but...you don’t need to file for bankruptcy protection to leave. The NRA is filing for bankruptcy protection because it is bankrupt, not because it is leaving New York. And yes, I am a member of the NRA
NRA is a 503(c)(4). It has some 501(c)(3) parts...IIRC, NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund and maybe NRA Foundation?
For some more happy gun news Uncle Joe (Biden not our Joe) has a $15 minimum wage in the corona bill that he is proposing. How long before all ATA trap shooting is DOA with those costs added to a large trap shoot? Let the good times begin.
Looking at the attendance figures as of the past few years, I believe it has already began. I am waiting to see the reports with the ammo and component supplies being at a premium. My contacts are worried for the small clubs IF the shooters all opt to just use their shells for ATA shooting. Is anyone seeing a reduction in their small clubs recreation shooters on weekends due to shortages ?
This is what happens when men without honor have access to the organizations money. Sound Familiar? I am a member and I hope Wayne does some jail time. Dick
How many times did Trump file for personal bankruptcy. Your quote Michael. Would you say he filed for personal bankruptcy more than the average bear?
Hopefully, this will get them out from under lawsuits and employment contracts. If Uncle Wayne goes, I might start sending a little money their way. Until then, nothing.
Not only Trump, this is a common practice in big business ... Trump personally has done this far less than many of the bigger conglomerates, it is so common it don't even make the news anymore ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
He never filed for bankruptcy personally, his corps did it in Atlantic City; how do I know--I was a sub contractor on one of his projects, the prime lost really big, I lost big, too
Maybe it's time for all the "Victims of the World" to unite and overturn all of those nasty ol' bankruptcy laws.
