Masks, Masks, who wants a Mask?

In August of 2016 I had a heart operation, 5 bypasses. My surgeon Dr. Bill is someone I have known for over 20 years. He and and his family have hunted with us at Thorn Bottom for all those years and I always teased him that when my ticker needed updated he'd been the one to do it. I feel better today than I have for years, except for the aches and pains of old age. By the way Bill is the head Doc at the Ohio Indiana Heart at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne and is known as the one of if not the best in Indiana by the other Doc's that hunt at my place.

That's not the story though, the story is that Bill had 2 Lawyers come hunting with him. The Lawyers were warring masks and Bill wasn't. Bill is just the latest of my Doctors who have come this year and not use a mask. I'd tell you what he told me but Doctor hunting club owner privilege forbids it. I can say he says they do no good that he knows of. The Lawyers are the 2nd and 3rd masked hunters I've had all year.

 

Maybe the lawyers are like most other crooks and choose to wear a mask while they rob you.

 

Do you make lawyers sign a waiver of all rights so they can't sue you to recoup the cost of their hunt?

 

Yes but I also tell them I have no qualms about seeking a more personally satisfying solution should the issue arise.

 

I wear a mask religously, even around friends, and in-laws, & outlaws. I trust my gut feelings too.

Well . . since it is known to kill people . . and since wearing a mask is almost universally recommended as a best practice to prevent the spread of the virus . . I plan to keep wearing a mask in public until I’ve had the vaccine.

 

Of the 26 nursing home residents that just died after an infected Santa visited them. None wore a mask. Near 100 more including staff, are also now infected.

 

Masks are supposed to stop those who are infected from spreading it ..... They wouldn't do much if someone infected coughed or sneezed on you, because the area of contamination would be much larger than your mask .....

Those experts that want people to follow the science ..... should call it what it is, science-fiction .....

Wearing a mask doesn't increase the IQ of stupid people ..... And, a home-made cloth mask catches all the contaminated snot and spit of infected people, making a ready supply of contamination to spread .....

Now the Bubbas of the world touch this fresh contaminated supply attached to their face ..... and then handle everything in sight .....

There was a time that parents taught their kids manners, like covering your face when you cough or sneeze ..... Then cleaning the snot and spit in a sanitary manner .....

So ..... science-fiction makes entertainment, but shouldn't be a science to follow .....

Forgot to add to my OP, Santa had no mask.

 

I had a quadruple bypass in August. I went in for a heart cath hoping to get by with a stent. Heart cath doc said I had too many blockages and I was going to need bypass surgery. While I was still in recovery from a heart cath - bypass surgeon comes in to visit. He wasn't wearing a mask and the first thing he did was shake my hand and introduce himself. Wow this is August of this year - you know Covid year 2020. The first thing that surprised me was he was NOT WEARING a mask and he shook my hand. Everybody else in the hospital was required to wear a mask and I thought the handshaking thing was supposed to be a no no too. I talked to him for 5 minutes and decided he was the guy to do my surgery.

The day after surgery he came in to visit me in the ICU - not wearing a mask. I saw him a couple more times during my hospital stay - I never saw him wear a mask. A follow up at his office - no mask. We hit it off really well. He signed me up for cardiac rehab at the hospital. After cardiac rehab one day I saw him in the hallway - I told him I probably owed him a drink or lunch or something. He told me he sometimes frequents a bar down the street and if I caught him there sometime he would let me buy. He said they have an outdoor patio there and that is where he sits because they don't require masks there if sitting outside. LOL

Mask no mask?? Every business has a mask policy so I wear em when I go into their business. It doesn't bother me if I see a person not wearing a mask, and it doesn't bother me if you do wear a mask. But for some reason, I get really pissed off about people who wear masks but wear them below their nose. Either wear the sob right or don't wear it at all. Sort of like I get pissed about people who wear baseball hats backward. If your not a catcher wear the damn thing straight. I got more respect for people who don't wear a mask than the people who wear a mask below their nose. It's like they ............

 

I work in healthcare/hospital and I wear a mask. I do so to protect others (even though I’ve been vaccinated) and to reduce the viral load should I come into contact with someone who is covid positive. I plan to continue to wear a mask probably for the better part of this year. To me it’s the bare minimum I can do for myself, my family, fellow healthcare worker and society. I’m at a loss to understand why this country can’t get on the same page and do their part to help others.

 

LenV Their is no such thing as a virous mask. You are using a Bacteria mask. It protects no one and only helps you feel like you are doing something. MASKS won't stop any virous. If it makes you feel good fine, I think masks are bullshit and an attempt to control my FREEDOM of choice.

I was talking to a friend - we're both glad we're old and won't have to witness much more of this crop.

Like he said he doesn't have a death wish but he sure as hell ain't going fight dying when it comes a knocking.

 

I had a pharmacist hunting with us yesterday, asked him if he was taking the covid shot and he said NO he might want to have kids someday. He is in his 30's, He said he didn't trust all the stuff in the shot. He didn't have a mask on when he said it either.

 

I wear a mask if any business I go to requires it, saw a Service dog shit on the floor in Cost Co got to figure that is as bad as the virus but it didn't smell probably because of the mask ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
