Registered my first ATA targets at the Pinehurst GC in 1964.....Grandfather was inducted into the NCHOF in 1991 with Doug House and Jack King.
Shot until the early 70's and took a break until 1977/8 and got back into trap by pulling during the days of the WW handsets. Was a ref up until the PGC was closed and pulled when the State Shoot moved to Durham Wildlife Club.
Took another break until 2001 and started back shooting at the Rockingham Gun Club. In 2002 a friend from Fayetteville setup the first website and it was called tarheeltrap.com. Not to be in competition with the existing NCTRAP.com that was built and maintained by ex ATA prez Terry Roush.
I traveled extensively with the beloved JC Nunn until his death in 2014. In a three year period JC and I registered 75,000 registered targets and both made the NC State Team in points.
I posted on the original xxxxxxxxxxxxxx as nomderf and changed my screen name to FRedmon.
At the time of this writing the 2017 Southern Grand is underway and sure wish I could be there. If you check my ATA number 3801615 you can see I have been struggling the last few years and hopefully this year I can put in the time to get back on the birds.
I was accepted into the Konne-Yaut Indians about 8 years ago and will be shooting at the Bradford Gun Club this July.
Not sure what to say about trapshooting other than I love the smell of gunpowder and thank my grandfather Jim Brown for getting me hooked at such a young age. He steered me away from skeet because he knew it would put him in the poor house....or so he said.

    Thanks.....Freddy Redmon
