"They are made to be broken the first time they are used."

I remember the targets one year at the PA state. You could have used some of them 3 times.

I remember 1 year at the Grand Remington supplied targets and I don't think they dried or cured long enough. I never seen so much dust come off targets and not break. That was back when it was still in Vandalia. Around 2000.

Yep Dawg, those were the ones. We picked up about a case full one evening that had so many holes in them you wouldn't believe it unless your were there and saw them.

Cheap #9 shot in cold weather might do that too.

Thanks, interesting 2:1 chalk to pitch. I always thought they were made out of ground up limestone and pitch. Now I know.

If anyone is interested in this video and wants to post it "someplace else" you can find it on you tube.

Feel free to mention where you first saw it.

This is quite interesting, brings up something people probably do not want to talk about, but talc is a cancer causing agent and there are numerous lawsuits on file against companies that have used it for many, many years ... 'Google it" , you might be surprised ... I seem to recall the Euro Targets that were mentioned some time back were made with limestone and pitch rather than talc , like Big Papa says and they were considerably cheaper also ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The video does shows LaPorte targets and I don't know how old it is or if they are still made with the same ingredients. Maybe they changed them?
