With SCTP season beginning, the Cardinal Youth Shooters are starting practices on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 am, and then Wednesday March 6 at 5:00, and then every Saturday morning and Wednesday evening through August. Novices or experienced youth from 4th grade up to college students are welcome. If you know of any young shooter that wants to try it, please let them know.

We teach safety first, then the fundamentals, and fun comes before scores.

I tip my red cap to you James344.

As a past SCTP State director in the early 2000s (when it was administered by the National Shooting Sports Foundation-NSSF), I saw firsthand, the work, devoted coaches give to teaching youngsters to safely and proficiently handle a shotgun.

The SCTP is a great program.

Thanks to all coaches who are the people responsible for the program's success.

It's that time of year again. The Cardinal Center Shooters SCTP youth team is holding a team informational meeting/sign-up this Saturday at 10:00 am in the CEB. Coach Kevin Noice will be leading it as I have a prior engagement that day.

Anybody that has a son or daughter, or grandson or granddaughter that would like to try it out are welcome to attend.

If potential participants cannot make the meeting, the first team practice will be on March 4th and they can attend then to get signed up. After that practices will run on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 and Saturday mornings at 10:00. We will also be starting to shoot Skeet and Sporting Clays in SCTP this year as well. Those practices will follow the Saturday morning trap practices.

    Message me with questions.
