More skeet fields are coming to the Cardinal Center. They will be overlaid with International Bunker traps.

Funny, you won't read anything about the CC and the great things Mr. Fishburn is doing and HAS done anywhere else on the internet.

    Typical

    Thanks FG

CC is and continues to develop as one of the premier shooting facilities in the country. Guess how much coverage this got on local TV or newspapers...............yep, none.

That is very sad. a facility that size brings in millions to the local economies. unbelievable that they don't get mentioned in the local news.

The folks that attend shooting events at the Cardinal Center probably would rather keep it a secret as long as they can so the crowds do not get any bigger and the place get over crowded ... Sooner or later word will get out and the place will be so crowded it will remind people of Vandalia in a way (Ahhh, those were the days) , they even have a Hall of Fame there for people to enjoy before they take their 20 minute ride to any and all amenities you can think of ... The Cardinal Center takes the place of the grand for many people and rightfully so ... Rumor has it you can get your picture taken with Dr Long shot ( A true legend in his own mind ) on many days during the shooting season ... I got it on my bucket list that's for sure ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

That just goes to show that somebody is dropping the ball, in this case it would be the news media (TV, Radio, News Papers ) because the Cardinal Center just keeps on plugging along day by day ... If some of the locals would call and let them know maybe they would get off their dead ass's and put out some (REAL) news that goes for the local business's also who benefit by Cardinal Center being there and providing services that many folks thought at one time would be lost ... This goes to show you they didn't lose anything and they got a major improvement in its place ... Maybe we should all make it our business to let the Media hounds know what going on so they got some new, news for a change ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I think you might have a hard time finding a media outlet, (perhaps radio but not TV or print) that is in any way supportive of an activity where firearms are in use.

They even had TV, Radio, and news Paper coverage in Sparta, inflated and totally not close to actual numbers but coverage none the less ... I find it difficult to believe Ohio is more restrictive than the State of Illinois, things must of changed there an awful lot if they are ... Oh well, just a thought and possibly a way to put them in the spot light and let people know they are there ... I seem to recall all of the Welcome signs and the business owners being glad the shooters were coming to town when the grand was in Vandalia ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I don't think it has anything to do with Ohio as a whole, but everything to do with Columbus - the largest city, a bastion of the liberal and politically correct.

I know for a fact there was intentional silence on this. This was to give the SCTP crowd their own timing to report this at the Shot Show.

Way back when, the Buffalo (New York) shooting club held annual MEDIA day shoots as a part of their Leukemia & Lymphoma charity shoots.

Media all over from the Buffalo area attended with every one of the media groups represented.

Radio DJ personalities, TV (and with TV cameras rolling) personalities, and Newspaper reporters all took part in this huge event.

The personalities all tried the Trap game, borrowing guns and ammo from the shooters. Women loaned their guns and advice to the women from the media, and EVERYONE had a wonderful time. Traps were set for straight away from station 3, with the shooters all shooting 25 shots, 5 per station.

They had small trophies for the media groups, and the ribbing that went on between the different station personalities was a lot of fun.

On the 11 o'clock news that night, along with the news outlets the next day, all praised what was being done out at that club.

Sadly the Buffalo Shooting club has closed, and as far as I know, non of the Buffalo area clubs have picked this Media day back up, although I might add that I have been gone from the area for over 10 years.

Now this just may be something that the CC may want to look into. A non registered day to support a worthy charity along with a Media Day.

That's great, but International is really tough. What I'd really like is some Wobble. I was at CC recently, and they said they had a wobble machine but they didn't know how to run it.
