I’m gonna be having a new shooting partner and hopefully another to hang with our gang.

Talked to factory on specifics of youth program for stock upgrade for when he gets bigger. Walked away from that conversation pretty good as to how they handle it.

Did like the tax rebate Browning has going on also.

Something just keeps telling me to but it on the back burner till this CV shit blows over.

I just don’t want to order what I think is best. Want him to have a stronger part in that. Thinking the Micro CX might be better overall choice. This is not the point. Point is to just ride it out a bit. We may enjoy going to a few different shops more than that experience now. Would hope he goes the route of the BT-99 because I think it will get used more on a regular basis. One of my sub gauges he’s using now will always be a good sporting gun.

How old is he, how big is he and does he have any muscle? I started mine at 9yo with a BT-99 and at 13yo he now shoots a Krieghoff trap Special. Lots of factors come into play here.

Tall for his age. Tall, skinny, lanky kid. Honestly not very muscular but for the most part can handle my 1100 sporting 20. Another reason I was leaning on the BT was because I have another one coming up right behind him and was thinking with in that 5 year period both would be beyond that 5 year stock trade in. I think for them to start out I'm not making a mistake by going with a 30" barrel. I would like to work with him at first for awhile. Than see if I can get one of the guys from the club to teach him right with some lessons. I love to shoot and shoot everything going but I'm all bad habits. I was never really taught correctly. Self taught. Don't really want that for him.

Tall, skinny and lanky means no reason to buy a micro in anything. He'll do just fine with a Browning 30" CXT standard length. Just tell him good shooting requires more than just thumbs-I'm sure you understand that message. Looks like you might be stuck buying two guns eventually.

I hear that. But in the case of the other one he is shorter and his growth pattern shows that. He won’t be a midget but he’ll be shorter. They are great kids. (2) BT’s what’s that in life to spend as much time with them as I can. I don’t feel as though I was ready to checkout for a little while but the way life is now who knows. I want to make it through this mess we are in.
