Carl John Leonard MOS was born in Dubuque, Iowa in December 1884. His family moved to Kansas City in the early 1900s.

Mr. Mos was a Peters Cartridge Co. representative and then Remington Arms Co. when they purchased Peters' in 1934. He retired in the mid 1940s and went to work in the gun department of the R. S. Elliott Arms Co., of Kansas City.

He was ranked as one of the best target and live bird shooters in the country.

    Carl passed in June 1950.

I don't have a quality photo of Mr. Mos. He was pictured with his Smith gun in the Sportsmen's Review of Feb. 28, 1925 on page 189.

Carl Mos was the Missouri State Handicap Champion in 1923 with a score of 89x100.

Here's his daughter Florence Mos who was Ohio's Women's Champion in 1941.
