Several years ago I made a change to the Vectan AS powder, clean and metered well and worked in the wide temperature spread here. It is not available at this time so I am making a switch to the Vectan GM3. Appears it might not burn as clean but it meters extremely well and as it was 9°f a couple days ago I ran a little test... velocity stayed the same as a batch I fired at 60° a while back. Looks like it will work just fine.... Larry

After loading and firing 3 flats of shells with the GM3 powder I find no problems.... The big plus is that the powder is available. Larry

A good higher velocity powder for sporting clays.
    7/8 oz at 1395 fps.
    1 oz at 1361 fps.

Bad news is that Graf's now shows it too is now out of stock. I got some before it ran out and so far I have to say I really like it. 1 ounce loads are clean burning for me.

GM3 disappeared so bought a case of A1.... fired 100 rounds of it Sunday. Not as clean as AS, perhaps a bit cleaner than GM3 but now its gone too...... suspect that when I have gone through my inventory of Vectan products they will be gone for good.... certainly enjoyed the quality and price....... Yes they were. I was looking for something and found 6 bottles of AS I had forgot about. Felt like I won the lottery. I was going to try GM3 but they were out when I looked. I hope Grafs will get more in.

There was quite a bit of criticism over use of powder from across the water... various comments like "bad powder", "supply will dry up", "leave clinkers in the barrel" and so on.... Appears now that all powders have at least one thing in common, they are all "Out of Stock"....Price on Vectan never varied, that might have been because Graf and Sons is a great vendor but it did not change while all other powders took a jump. Whats in the future??? Don't have a clue but I suspect we will be here to find out.
Fired 100 rounds of the Vectan A1 last week...... works just great also....... Larry
