Have five club here in southern Wisconsin -- 0nly one that shoots at least one night a week, plus several week end shoots year round! --Is it lack of interest? cost of heating? or help run it? that closes a club for the season? -- 9 Degree this morning with a -4 wind chill --Turning on the electric heater in the trap house and will be good for tonight's shooting - Club house will be 70 degrees -- beer will be cold and plenty of discussion. -- If we can chop the ice and snow to the trap house we shoot -But this is Wisconsion ice breaker.png

Hats off to you guys up there. I’m sure it can get very brutal up there. Here in PA is no treat either when dead of winter sets in. 8, 10 or 12 deg. mornings with wind gust makes it real fun.

I seen a pic some time back where one of the clubs up there took a construction site trailer and they cut 5 shooter openings into it. I believe it was set up to shoot 16 yd. targets from or quite possibly 5 stand or wobble. In either case it appeared the boys were toasty and comfortable to some degree.

Have fun this winter. Down here the elements may not be as harsh. Throughout the winter shooting is not hard to find. Filling squads can get hard.

Club has Skeet -- trap -- and sporting clays --Sporting clays I understand not shooting in the winter {setting up a course in the snow is hard} -- Skeet shooters shoot a over lay of our number one trap house closest to the club house and you won't see them until the weather hits 50 -- Mostly only trap shooters that want to shoot when it is below -0
