Anyone having trouble with the trigger on the 725 failing to go to the 2nd shot?

I've got the Sporting version for Sporting Clays and 5-stand
    No problems yet.

u could be trapping the trigger. it needs to be released completely. very common with gloves on. Although a friends gun, a very early one, needed to be sent back to browning for a trigger malfunction, but his did not function at all. mike

I thought the 725 has mechanical triggers different than the XT. Wasn't this done to create a more reliable gun?

That's right CC. They did away with the inertia block.

My gunsmith convinced me that I did not want a 725 in my future at this year's PA State Shoot. He explained that the 725 trigger assemblies were among the most troublesome that he has ever encountered and that he had tried every trick he knew on a few of them without success until another smith (also formerly of Browning) taught him a new trick that worked. His experience is that they either work perfectly or not at all...maybe depending on who assembled them at the factory? o_O

I've read on some other forums that aprox 30 - 35 % of the 725's were experiencing some sort of trigger problems.

I have no doubt Browning will make an adjustment.
