Learning the sport. Just wondering everyone’s thoughts on barrel length and choke combos to use in doubles. Also very interested in international (Olympic Bunker Trap, I’ve heard it called) trap. That looks extremely challenging. Like I said in the beginning, I’m just learning the sport.

    What gun are you shooting?
This would affect the optimum barrel length and choke selection for you.

WOW, there are many books available that make suggestions and some what answer your questions provided by the writer of the book ... Barrel length is totally subjective ( what works best for you ) , Chokes also for the most part boil down to what works best for you and your application to which ever event of shooting clay targets you are involved in that given day ... There are no absolute answers to the questions you posed, each and every person varies in some way ... Trial and error always worked best for me and probably many others ... You will know when its right for you ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I’m shooting a 1979 browning Citori. It was my uncles. He made it a single top. I need to see about making it an o/u again. Really nice gun. I really enjoy shooting it.
    Thanks for your input.

Barrel length: 32" seems to be fashionable right now, but 30" would be just as functional. Chokes: start with Modified for the first barrel, Full for the second. Adjust from there, as needed.

Well I can’t wait to retire so I have more time to practice. Maybe that’s why my golf game is so bad. Lol. Thanks for the reply
