It was sad to hear that Aden lost his fight with cancer. I've know Aden and Sue it seems like forever. They introduced my wife Ann and me in 1977, I shot many thousands of targets at their Great Eastern Gun Club, drank a lot of beers and had millions of laughs there too.

The first time I met Aden was at the 1975 Ohio State Shoot when we shot off against each other. Ann and I watched Britt and Curt when they were babies. I remember taking them squirrel hunting when they were not yet in school. It seems that I'm loosing too many trap shooting friends. Ann and I don't really know what to say to Sue and the boys. Just know we thought a lot of Aden. Brad

I agree with Brad. Aden has been a friend for many years. He ran one of the best gun clubs around--great eastern in walnut creek ohio. his is actually where the great eastern purse started. One heck of a guy and the rest of hi family is just as good as he is. Sue and her mom and dad were all pioneers in the sport. Mom is still around but dad is also gone. Miss them all and wish sue and the kids the best. Joe

I met Aden in the late 80's. He had a big influence on our sport at many levels. The trapshooting world will miss him.

I met Aden back around 1977 also. Hell of a guy. As I said in the other post, the good guys always leave us too soon.

Today someone on that other site wanted to know about "the best trophy we ever won". I had to get an old 1977 Trap & Field out to get the entry numbers correct for mine. While I'm digging for the magazine I was thinking about how long ago it was and all they guys I met along the way. And the guys that are no longer with us. Our ranks of shooters that remember how great it used to be is getting smaller all the time and Aden came to mind. I opened the magazine without even looking and, I swear to God, this is the page that it opened to.

The headline reads, "Aden Kaufman Earns Tri-State Singles Honors"

I had to look twice. I almost yelled out loud.

Thanks Aden, you got me. That was a good one.

Aden did a great deal to help trapshooting...more than most realize.

Sincere condolences to Sue and Family,
