Chuck Yeager has passed away at 97. The word is overused a lot in todays media but the dictionary should have a picture of him under the word, HERO. If you google the title you will see that he used to chew gum because breathing oxygen in the cockpit of those test planes dried out his mouth and the gum helped counter that. God broke the mold when he made Yeager. I remember reading an article years ago about air traffic controllers where they said because of his notoriety all the pilots wanted to sound like him when they spoke on the radio. One of a kind for sure. How ironic, he passed away Dec. 7th.
