I like the CC of course but Middletown may be one the more challenging but fair places to shoot.

The classiest club in Florida is South Florida shooters club, best background, only open to non members for ATA shoots, go online & check out the facility--primarily a sporting club

Hate to sound like the "get off my lawn" guy, and everything was better 25 years ago - but my favorite clubs are all gone now. Along with saying - "I know more dead trapshooters than live ones, I can say I know of more defunct gun clubs than I do of active ones". I don't enjoy being the "get off my lawn" guy, but I guess somebody has to do it.

If I had to pick one club that is still active than I would like to go shoot again would be - Middletown. Haven't been there in a few years, hope it has stayed the same, The rest are all basically the same to me anymore.

I sure would love to relive The grand at Vandalia

Favorite current club would probably be MTA in Mason.

Conneaut, OH. Gun (Sportsmen's) Club When we've visited my inlaws in Northwest Ohio through the decades, I've always shot there. Nice, friendly people and they let me shoot at member prices. Clean well kept club with always great targets.

My all time list, the Old Harold's Club in Reno, Bob Taylor's in Las Vegas, Jaqua's in Ohio, Great Eastern in Ohio, and the grand daddy Vandalia. All these clubs are gone now.

I probably shot the best over the years at Mason and it is still going so it's my favorite active club.

I'm going to also add some of my favorite fun places to shoot other than the ones I mentioned. In Florida when they had the chain shoots Winter Haven, St. Pete, Orlando, and the old Tampa Club. Out west for their chain, Shot Yard, Tuscon, and Phoenix.

Other fun shoots were Missouri State, Indiana State, Pa State, and a real fun shoot but tough place to shoot well Maryland State at Thurmont. In fact when I lived in Maryland just about every club that I shot at in the 80's had great Trophies and fun shoots but were most hard places to shoot well, tough back grounds for the most part.

There are three things that I looked for to have what I'd classify as a good shoot, good money, good food, and good targets. I shot a lot of good money shoots over the years that had not so good set targets but back in the day most clubs had good food, at least that is the way I remember it.

There are so many clubs that I like I LOVED the Las Vegas Gun Club but that is gone now. I now go the other direction east the one I like to go to is Hog Heaven in White Pine TN. I am planning on going for Mountain Days next month.

Brad, Do you remember shooting Bob Taylors when Vegas had about a foot of snow on the ground? It was melting and the place was a sea of mud. I also liked The Gun Club , and Little Mondo , in Reno. But Vandalia was my all time favorite.

I love Tucson, and always have a great time in San Antonio due to the options for my family to enjoy in town while I’m shooting.
