Went to the Cardinal Center yesterday for the sole purpose of looking for a dedicated doubles gun. First criteria had to be around 6 lbs, no autos, crisp triggers and well made. From that platform I'll add 4'' high short rib and possible pistol grip stock.
This gun is just a little over 6 # with all steel receiver and 30'' barrels.
Never shot a Blaser...any comments appreciated..

I’ve owned a f3 trap. Not a bad gun just not my cup of tee. Never shot a sporting model but my understanding They are one of the top ones .

They are very good guns well made and designed. I love the trigger design. Very inovative. Roger C.

Y'all know he's talking about an F16 and not an F3, right?

Owned a 32" f16 sporter for awhile. Good gun and had great trigger. It was significantly heavier than 6lbs though... almost 8lbs if i recall correctly.

Ended up selling as i just didnt shoot it much.

I personally felt the F16 Sporting to be on the light side. I'm not recoil sensitive at all, but I wouldn't want to shoot much more than 100 rounds at a time w the F16. It was just light enough to be on the verge of uncomfortable after 100. Quick handling though.

6lb. Gun is not something I would be lured into shooting competitively but to each there own. I personally think recoil would become an issue over time. However, they are great guns and if it works for you, Go get ‘em. Good shooting, Rey

I really have no choice being I can not lift a heavy gun due to spinal cord injury. My TM1 has lost 2 lbs due to extensive modifications, as in removing rib and adding short 4'' high x 12'' long rib thanks to Roger Eubanks. I modified existing forend by narrowing wood and removing some iron from forend. I also made my own pistol grip black walnut stock with high comb that is compatible with rib 4'' above barrel. Reason is I have too much steel in neck to bend down and look straight down conventional rib.
It is absolutely unbelievable how much less recoil there is on the shoulder when my right hand and arm absorbs most of the recoil...so much so that I need to have recoil absorbing foam on back side of pistol grip.
If and when I get this gun, I have already talked to some of the finest stock makers in the country to make a custom pistol grip high comb stock. Along with Keen ribs on making a short 12'' long x 4'' high aluminum rib. Keen calls it their ''Bump Rib''. PERAZZI.jpg

Your reasoning for the lighter gun now makes a-lot of sense. I would further suggest you looking in to a PFS stock for the blaser. I believe the grip will work for the f16 but can’t swear to it. With an UFC you should be able to get the height you want with The added benefit of recoil reduction. If you keep the weights supplied with the PFS off the stock they are fairly light. I commend you for your efforts and hope my 2 cents at minimum give you another option to keep you in the game and kicking ass. Good luck and good shooting, Rey
